Meet Our Doctors
We believe it is essential to have a trusted family doctor (GP) as the foundation of your family’s healthcare. To us, this means working with caring doctors who will go the extra mile for you and your family’s long-term health.
Dr Alison Edwards
Dr Alison Edwards is a caring Melbourne trained general practitioner of over 30 years experience. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1980 and has practiced in both Melbourne and across Australia.
Alison loves the variety and challenge of general practice which cares for families of all ages. She now restricts her working week to Thursdays and Fridays, devoting her time to being the best doctor she can be by avoiding the current trend of quick fixes.
Women’s health, from adolescence to menopause and beyond, has always been an important focus of Alison’s work but she regards taking care of men’s health equally as important.
Alison is also qualified in obstetrics and while not delivering babies anymore, she continues to care for pregnant women through the shared antenatal care offered by most Melbourne obstetric hospitals.
Alison’s philosophy of practicing good medicine starts with establishing great relationships with her patients and working collaboratively to solve complex health challenges.
Dr Lidija Coha
Dr Lidija Coha is a passionate and very experienced GP who has been practicing medicine for over 27 years since graduating in 1987 from the city of Nis in Yugoslavia. Dr Coha has always enjoyed caring for patients who come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. She is a highly motivated, dedicated and thorough female general practitioner.
Dr Coha especially loves her role as a family medicine doctor, looking after women’s, children’s and men’s health across all ages. She is skilled at solving a wide variety of general health issues and can also help you with pap smears, sexual health screenings, mental health care plans, travel medicine, preventative health and workplace health checks/assessments.
Dr Coha also speaks Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian. Away from medicine, Dr Coha loves to spend time with her family and enjoys travelling and ballroom dancing.

Integrating traditional Chinese and western medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine have co-existed in China for more than two hundred years. In modern-day China, both forms of medicine are practiced alongside each other and equally valued for their respective benefits.
People can choose which doctor or hospital to go to depending on whether they are looking for a western or traditional approach. Chinese medicine doctors (in China) can prescribe both types of medicines to treat their patients, which are available at many pharmacies and hospitals.
This integrative model of medicine is part of the national healthcare systems of many Asian countries today, serving the needs of over 1.5 billion people.
Ping Ming Health’s Melbourne Clinic of East-West Medicine is at the forefront of introducing this integrative approach to Australia.
