Insomnia with frequent urination

Did you know one of the major causes of insomnia is frequent urination? Insomnia refers to a number of different problems such as inability to fall asleep easily, waking up during the night frequently, sleeping restlessly, waking up early in the morning and dream disturbed sleep.

Sleeping problems are unfortunately very common and sometimes people have to resort to sleeping tablets for some relief. In Chinese medicine theory there are many different causes of insomnia such as emotional problems, pain in the body, fatigue, digestive problems, stress and heat.

One of the major causes is frequent urination.

In Chinese medicine, urinating more than twice at night is considered abnormal. The more times an individual gets up to urinate at night, the more serious the condition. Disorders of the Kidneys and urinary bladder organs often can cause this problem. Some symptoms that can accompany the nocturnal urination are lower back pain, feeling cold, sore knees, and tiredness.
